Sean M. Conrey
Sean M. Conrey is an associate director in the Project Advance program at Syracuse University, where he teaches in the English and Textual Studies department. His most recent full-length collection of poems, The Book of Trees, published in late 2017 by Saint Julian Press, was awarded a 2018 Catholic Press Award for Poetry. His first collection, The Word in Edgewise, was published by Brick Road Poetry Press in 2014. His poems have appeared in American Letters and Commentary, Cream City Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Midwest Quarterly, Notre Dame Review and Tampa Review, among others. Finishing Line Press published a chapbook of his poems, A Conversation with the Living in 2009, and a monograph Coming to Terms with Place, a theoretical work concerned with how language affects our sense of place, was published in 2007.
